Omar Lopez-Cepero is of Puerto Rican descent and grew up outside of Atlanta. His family exposed him to the arts, but it wasn't until his high school teachers cultivated his talent as a singer that he began to consider it as a career. He went on to the University of Miami to study Classical Vocal Performance and has been lucky to carve out a widely varying career. Omar has been seen on Broadway in such shows as American Idiot, On Your Feet!, The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Judas in the 50th Anniversary Production of Jesus Christ Superstar and in the world premiere of the musical adaptation of The Notebook. He has also been seen on television with guest starring appearances on The Detour, Blue Bloods and Vegas.
