DOORS 6 PM | SHOW 7:30 PM

Jason Wulf Band is a Colorado-based Texas Country and Red Dirt band with roots planted firmly in Texas. Led by Texas natives Jason Wulf and Grant Durham, the band brings together original songwriting, seasoned musicianship, and a high-energy live show built around the music they grew up listening to and still love today.

At the heart of the Jason Wulf Band is the original music. Wulf and the band write songs meant to tell a story and connect with the people listening—songs about real places, relationships, memories, and experiences. That connection has become increasingly obvious at live shows, where songs like “No End,” “Top of the Ridge,” and “Lonesome Road” regularly fill the dance floor right alongside—and sometimes more than—the covers.

The band's sound is rooted in the modern Texas Country and Red Dirt scene, with influences ranging from the singer-songwriters who helped define the genre to the harder-driving artists carrying it forward today. With touches of Southern rock and the band's own diverse musical backgrounds, the result is a sound that feels distinctly Texas without being stuck in the past. Multi-instrument musicianship is a big part of the live show. Wulf moves between acoustic and electric guitar, mandolin and harmonica, while Durham brings fiddle, banjo, mandolin, electric guitar and bass to the stage. Shawn holds down the low end on bass and steps in on lead electric guitar when the arrangement calls for it, while Teddy is the heartbeat of the band behind the drums. Together, that versatility lets the band move naturally from stripped-down acoustic moments and fiddle-driven Texas Country to full-throttle electric Red Dirt.

The Jason Wulf Band has built a loyal following in Colorado while taking its music beyond the state with performances in Texas and New Mexico and invitations to perform farther across the region. The band was named Best Local Band in The Gazette's Best of Colorado Springs, after placing third two years earlier, while Wulf was also recognized as Best Local Musician.

Now the band is taking the next step. Jason Wulf Band is heading to the Texas Hill Country to record a full-length album, chasing the authentic Texas Country and Red Dirt sound that has influenced the band from the beginning, with plans to release the record on vinyl.

For the Jason Wulf Band, the goal is pretty simple: write songs that tell a story, make music people connect with, and put on a show that makes them want to come back.
