Join us at the Rex Theater for a very special evening featuring Dori Freeman, her father Scott Freeman, and her grandfather Willard Gayheart—three generations of musicians sharing the songs, stories, and traditions that connect their family to the rich musical heritage of our region.

Raised in Galax, Dori Freeman has earned national acclaim for her distinctive voice and songwriting, blending the sounds of Appalachian tradition with folk, country, and Americana. For Generations in Song, she returns to the Rex stage alongside two of the musicians who helped shape her musical roots.

More than a concert, Generations in Song is a celebration of family, place, and the way music is carried from one generation to the next.
