Crown Lands are born storytellers, with eyes on this world and others. Painters of strange, absorbing universes. Advocates for the LGBTQ+ and indigenous communities. Counter-culturalists for the 21st century, informed by a cocktail of old-world thinking, science-fiction, and musical narrators from Rush to Paul Simon, Led Zeppelin to John Prine. It’s prog rock, but not as you know it – or as you thought it could be. The enigmatic brainchild of singer/drummer Cody Bowles (a reconnecting Mi’kmaq Two Spirit, who grew up learning from the elders of Canada’s Alderville First Nation reserve) and guitarist/keyboardist Kevin Comeau (a Jewish-born bassist from Whitby, Ontario, whose ancestors made it through the Holocaust), the band channels ancient spirits into fantastical stories. All of it tempered with current issues, and all of it as a duo. Since meeting in 2015 at a band audition – where they bonded over a love of prog icons Rush – the leonine-haired pair have thrived on a diverse mix of ideas and activity. Sprawling conversations over walks in the woods. Urgent odes to the mistreatment of their country’s Indigenous peoples (captured in 2020 single “End Of The Road”). Slapstick jokes over movies and Indian food. Cultural touchstones that include the worlds of J.R.R. Tolkien, Dune author Frank Herbert, Buddhist meditation master Chögyam Trungpa and the Flash Gordon and Terminator soundtracks. All the while, heaps of riffs were amassed. The duo has been widely celebrated for their electrifying live performances and exceptional multi-instrumental talent. Fusing elements of prog, classic rock, and world music, they've garnered international acclaim, winning a Juno Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and earning two nominations for Rock Album of the Year. They've toured alongside major acts like KISS, Greta Van Fleet, and Jack White, while also headlining sold-out shows across Canada, the UK, and the USA. In the studio, Crown Lands have worked with legendary producers such as David Bottrill (Rush, Peter Gabriel, Tool), Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Alice In Chains), and Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Rival Sons), solidifying their reputation as one of Canada’s most dynamic and innovative modern prog rock bands.

With a unity of soaring guitars, thunderous drums and introspective, dramatic storytelling, Dreamland takes the listener on a psychedelic and thought-provoking journey. Led by Daniel Walton and Adam Inrig, Dreamland is a band from Hamilton, Ontario that is on a mission to deliver the good news: Prog Rock Is Back! Paying homage to the great psychedelic and progressive rock heroes of the '70s, Dreamland showcases a thoughtful blend of composed medleys and improvisation that ensures each live performance delivers a unique, intense and emotional musical journey. Dreamland’s debut LP tells the story of The Seeker, a being trying to escape the clutches of The Overlord in the realm between life and death. The self-titled album, produced by Kevin Comeau (Crown Lands) and mixed by Terry Brown, is set to release in fall of 2026.
