Big Gay Hudson Valley’s Gay Gasp marks the arrival of Spring in the Hudson Valley! Get ready to gather at Assembly in Kingston as we clutch those pearls and laugh your ass off with the incredible talents of our spectacular stand-up comics.
Our second annual Queer Comedy Showcase proudly features the wits of Jake Cornell Sydnee Washington and Esther Fallick.
Doors open at 7pm for cocktails and other libations beverages with our community thanks to our friends at Kingston's newest venue - Assembly!
The good vibes and beats will be served up for cocktail hour, with the show starting at 8pm.
The show will contain adult themes and is appropriate for audiences 18+
Book ahead and save: General Seating tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.
JAKE CORNELL (he/him)
A New York City comedian and actor who has built an audience of hundreds of thousands through his standup and characters, Jake’s show Man & Woman ran at the Edinburgh Fringe festival in 2022 followed by a US tour. His new show, Hey Big Guy, kicked off a national tour this July 2024 starting off with a sold out show at Joe’s Pub. He has been featured in New York Magazine, Vogue and Nylon. NY Magazine calls him 'A Very Gay Comic'.

SYDNEE WASHINGTON (she/her)
Sydnee Washington is a comedian, actor, and writer. In 2022, Sydnee became an Emmy Nominee for her supporting role as Judith in Bridesman. She recently made her debut on ABC's Abbott Elementary.
Sydnee received a WGA Award for her writing contributions to 'Inside Amy Schumer' and was a 2021 Just For Laughs New Face Winner for her stand-up work. Sydnee has toured with comedians Chelsea Handler, Matteo Lane, Janelle James, and others; as well as her own sold-out, powerful comedic hour, How To Start A Fire which blends memoir, storytelling and standup into an unforgettable experiences during her childhood.
A podcast staple, she’s been the host of The Unofficial Expert with Marie Faustin and Headgum’s Hobby Hunter— and as a guest on many popular formats. On social media, she has hosted Syd Can Cook, for Instagram Live, a first-of-it’s-kind comedy cooking show with celebrity guests.

ESTHER FALLICK (she/her)
Esther Fallick is a comedian, singer, and musical theater writer based out of Brooklyn, NY.
She has been written about in Vulture, Autostraddle, Broadway World, and more. Her one woman show, Esther Updates Her Book has played NYC venues including 54 Below, Union Hall, and Caveat, and was part of the 2022 New York Comedy Festival. She was also a co-writer on the Purple M&M's debut song, "I'm Just Gonna Be Me", which premiered online in September 2022.
Esther performs regularly around Brooklyn & Manhattan and you're just gonna love her :)
