Jimi's Dead
GENRE: Psychedelic Rock
Eric Krasno & Ross James' Jimi’s Dead - A high octane mash up of Jimi Hendrix & The Grateful Dead unlike any other act out there. The group, which will also feature Otis MacDonald on drums & Max Cowan on keyboards, will seamlessly weave in and out of classic Hendrix & Dead tunes with the energy of early Experience recordings blended with the vibes of Europe ’72.
“Jimi & GD were probably the 2 most influential artists for me when I was a teenager and first picking up the guitar. The music has stayed with me and permeated every project I’ve been involved in. When Ross called me about doing some trio gigs we thought it made perfect sense to do mash ups of Jimi and the Dead. The idea is to try to tap into the energy of the Band Of Gypsies & early GD while adding our own flavor.”
- Eric Krasno
“Kraz and I have been talking about cooking something up together for awhile…we were on the phone one day and Jimi’s Dead just came out. We were both like, “YES!!”. Hendrix is pretty much where it all started for me and getting to play bass on those tunes with Kraz on guitar is about a much fun as you can have.”
- Ross James
OPENER: Bella Rayne
Bella Rayne is a 18-year-old, self-taught guitar phenom from Mendocino, CA who is quickly making a name for herself in the music industry. Her love for the Grateful Dead, Southern Rock, 90s Grunge, and even a little Bluegrass, has been distilled into her own fresh approach that’s wowing audiences across the country. She carries the confidence, poise and talent of someone far beyond her years and this is a big reason why she’s already become a regular guest shredder, sharing the stage with heavy hitters including The Allman Betts Family Revival, Leftover Salmon, Melvin Seals & JGB, ALO, Jackie Greene, Oteil Burbridge and members of Terrapin Family in addition to performing as being invited to perform at several regional festivals including Bottlerock ‘25. She was even blessed with the honor of playing Jerry Garcia's Alligator guitar, which doesn’t just happen to anyone!
