WEEDING OUT THE STONED is The Game Show of Sobriety Tests. A pack of comedians enter. All but one of them are stoned. It’s up to all of us to find the sober individual and win awesome stuff! Host and creator Alex Grubard administers field sobriety tests, both mental and physical, to the universe’s premier cannabis-induced comics so you can determine which comedians are stoned and which comic is stone cold sober.

Established in 2015 at Good Good Comedy Theatre in Philadelphia, Weeding Out The Stoned has toured the US and been presented in The New York Comedy Festival, The Highlarious Comedy Festival and Borscht Belt Fest. Weeding Out The Stoned has been called one of the “Best 4/20 Events in the United States,” by Philadelphia Inquirer and featured in Gothamist, NJ.com, Time Out New York, Emerald Magazine, Denver Westword, Portland Mercury, Delaware News Journal and Worcester Telegram. CelebStoner says it’s, “the game show for potheads,” and Brooklyn Vegan called it, “endearingly absurd.” Weeding Out The Stoned has partnered with the National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Legislation (NORML) to help reveal the absurdity of cannabis prohibition.

Alex Grubard is a stand-up comedian, writer and game show host. In addition to Weeding Out The Stoned he is a co-producer of Jersey City stand-up shows at Corgi Spirits and Pet Shop. Grubard has performed stand-up on mtvU, sketch on Comedy Central and heard on SiriusXM. His stand-up album “Let Me Teach You How To Distill Gin” is available on Helium Comedy Records and his first special will be released in 2024 by Four By Three Comedy.
